Job summary

Freddie Mac, headquartered in McLean, VA, seeks a Senior Associate to join the LIHTC Equity Team and help lead LIHTC equity transactions for affordable housing. You will work on origination, structuring and analysis of potential investments, and build external relationships to deploy LIHTC capital.

You will collaborate with syndicators and internal partners to drive deals to close, assess investments, and push for process improvements while ensuring data accuracy across reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Urban Planning or related field.
• 2–3+ years experience in multifamily finance required.
• LIHTC (finance and/or development) experience preferred.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency; familiarity with Copilot and/or AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive deals to a successful close in collaboration with the Senior Manager.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across business lines.
• Assess investments with LIHTC sponsors and external parties for optimal outcomes.
• Identify and drive process improvements for deal workflows and reporting.
