Job summary

Ankura is seeking a Senior Associate to support IT assessments, transformation programs, and operational improvements across client engagements. This role blends hands-on analysis with project execution and client collaboration, and can be based in Ankura's US offices.

The Senior Associate will evaluate IT operations, infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and vendor arrangements, developing practical recommendations and supporting implementation with senior team members.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years experience in IT operations, IT consulting, technology transformation, managed services, infrastructure, or related field.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT operations: infrastructure, cloud, applications, service delivery, vendors, governance, costs.
• Experience supporting IT assessments, transformation programs, or improvement efforts.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, problem, change, request, asset, SLA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to turn data into practical recommendations.
• Ability to explain technical issues in business, financial, operational, and risk terms.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business analysis/presentation tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms and IT financial analysis preferred.
• Consulting, professional services, or managed-services background preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborate with client stakeholders.
• Able to work in multidisciplinary, distributed teams; travel up to 10%.
• Relevant certifications (ITIL, cloud, PM, governance) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support IT assessments, transformation programs, and operational improvements.
• Analyze IT operations data to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Document current-state IT environments, processes, and vendor setups.
• Help develop IT strategies, operating models, roadmaps, governance, and plans.
• Support IT service management improvements (incident to SLA).
• Assist cloud modernization, app rationalization, cost optimization, and vendor management.
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and client deliverables.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and coordinate workstreams with teams.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations translating findings into actions.
• Contribute to proposals, research, effort estimates, and knowledge development.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and quality reviews.
