Job summary

ScionHealth seeks an Associate General Counsel, Litigation, to lead the litigation department, manage investigations, and supervise outside counsel across pre-litigation and litigation matters including labor and employment, general disputes, and professional liability claims.

The role reports to the General Counsel and partners with Operations and business leaders to drive strategy, risk management, and settlements where appropriate; strong experience in employment law and complex litigation is

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of employment law (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, wage-and-hour), and general litigation processes.
• Experience leading outside counsel and managing litigation budgets.
• Proven ability to conduct internal investigations and manage government inquiries.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to advise senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Retains and manages outside counsel, reviews invoices, and guides strategy for pre-litigation and litigation matters.
• Represents Company in employment law matters, both in litigation and compliance.
• Leads Liability Claims team in managing general and professional liability claims.
• Collaborates with Operations Counsel on government investigations and contract-related matters.
• Represents the company at mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Reviews settlement offers and advises on acceptance or rejection.
• Oversees discovery, e-discovery, subpoenas, and records management processes.
• Provides ongoing reports to management and supports diligence and audit requests.
