Job summary

Pfizer Chesterfield R&D site seeks a Senior Associate, Risk Management to lead risk programs across EHS, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness. You will partner with site leadership and Global Workplace Experience to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations.

You will develop and maintain risk management systems, perform risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, and support security, water stewardship, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Life Sciences, Emergency Management, Security Management, or related discipline with at least 2 years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in EHS, environmental compliance, operational risk management, security, emergency preparedness, business continuity, or related fields.
• Experience developing, implementing, and managing risk management programs in a regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of applicable EHS regulations and management systems, including contractor safety, hazardous work controls, emergency response, fire and life safety, environmental compliance, and incident investigation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with leaders, colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders to achieve compliance and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee risk management programs supporting contractor safety, high‑hazard work activities, fire and life safety, emergency preparedness, business continuity, security, environmental compliance, and transportation of dangerous goods.
• Support development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of risk management systems, including policies, procedures, inspections, audits, corrective actions, training, and performance metrics.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to site stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements, Pfizer standards, risk assessments, safe work practices, and compliance programs.
• Support administration and oversight of contractor safety processes and permit‑controlled work activities to help ensure risks associated with construction, maintenance, and operational activities are effectively managed.
• Coordinate activities supporting emergency preparedness, crisis management, business continuity, and security programs, including planning, exercises, incident response, and program improvement initiatives.
• Support environmental compliance and sustainability programs, including water stewardship, SPCC, refrigerant management, environmental reporting, waste reduction, and resource conservation initiatives.
