Job summary

VML is seeking an Associate Director, SEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to drive GEO work for a major enterprise client within our Discoverability group. You will lead strategy, build prompt sets, and coordinate across products, languages, and markets.

You will run workshops, briefing content gaps, and manage post-launch optimization, measuring uplift and guiding ongoing GEO cadence with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years experience in SEO; agency experience required.
• GEO/AI-visibility experience, including prompt set design and LLM-oriented content briefing.
• Experience facilitating client-facing workshops or strategy sessions with senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on demo environment work and client reference training before client engagement.
• Experience with enterprise brand visibility platforms (Profound, Peec, Adobe).
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Deepcrawl, STAT, Screaming Frog, MOZ.
• Management and leadership experience with direct reports.
• Strong client-facing abilities in co-branded settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy workshops with client stakeholders to set content frameworks and prompts.
• Translate content framework output into actionable content briefs for client teams.
• Build and structure scalable prompt sets across products, languages and markets.
• Manage post-launch optimization loop and uplift reporting with clients.
• Demonstrate platform credibility in client sessions and co-branded contexts.
• Collaborate with Paid Search and Performance Content teams to maximize overall impact.
