Job summary

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Associate, Development to co-lead high-stakes, multi-funder opportunities and help shape strategic fundraising initiatives. This hybrid role partners with executives to secure foundation, corporate, government, and individual support.

You will train and mentor development staff, oversee proposal calendars, and ensure data-driven storytelling that aligns with CEO’s impact across programs and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional fundraising or grant-writing experience.
• 1–2 years of direct grant writing and revenue generation.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects across dispersed teams.
• Proven track record partnering with executives on high-stakes funding.
• Strong written and verbal storytelling to translate data into cases for support.
• Ability to manage multiple proposal deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce CRM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, assembles, and submits RFP responses to foundations, corporate, and government funders.
• Coordinates grant reports for institutional funders and individual donors.
• Researches prospective funders and develops strategy memos.
• Coordinates site visits with funders and drafts briefing memos.
• Partners with Program, Investment, Finance, and Grants teams.
