The role requires a Master's degree (PhD preferred) and at least three years of postsecondary teaching with demonstrated leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred.
• Three years of postsecondary teaching experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Excellent oral and written communication, financial management and budget design skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly/creative research in higher education.
• In-depth knowledge of the academic discipline(s).

Aufgaben

• Provides effective leadership to department personnel aligning with college missions.
• Manages department budgets, class schedules, and registrations.
• Acts as liaison to other college departments and external agencies.
• Performs program reviews in line with state and college policy.
• Advises students for degree and program offerings.
• Maintains records, schedules, grades and catalog materials.
• Represents the department in campus and college-wide activities.
• Oversees faculty, program managers and staff, including personnel actions.
• Oversees purchasing and maintenance of lab/computer equipment.
• Assists in curriculum evaluation, development and grant proposals.
• Collaborates on department and campus goal setting and admission standards.
