Job summary

Broward College North Campus seeks an Associate Dean, Academic Affairs to lead department operations and strategic initiatives within the BAS program. The role reports to an appropriate Dean or Administrator and coordinates personnel, curriculum, scheduling, and budgets in alignment with college policies.

Ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) with at least three years of postsecondary teaching, plus demonstrated leadership in higher education.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication, financial management and budget design skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly/research in higher education.
• In-depth knowledge of the academic discipline(s).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership to department personnel and academic initiatives.
• Oversee department budgets, class schedules, and registration processes.
• Coordinate articulation with external agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Liaise with college departments and committees on policy and program matters.
• Supervise faculty, program managers, and teaching staff; manage evaluations.
