Broward College seeks an Associate Dean, Academic Affairs to lead department operations and ensure alignment with college policies and strategic goals. This role oversees personnel, scheduling, curriculum implementation, external collaborations, and financial matters, reporting to the Dean or Administrator.

Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree and three years of postsecondary teaching experience with demonstrated leadership. Excellent communication and budget skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Three years of postsecondary teaching experience with leadership roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication, financial management and budget design skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the academic discipline(s).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to department personnel to advance the college's academic initiatives.
• Prepare and manage department budgets, class schedules, and faculty assignments.
• Coordinate recruitment and articulation efforts with external and internal partners.
• Advise students on degree and program offerings.
• Develop and manage department budgets and inventory, payroll, grades, syllabi, and reports.
• Represent the department in campus and college-wide activities.
