Job summary

Barings, a leading global financial services firm, seeks an Associate Director to oversee accounting for private real estate investments within Global Client Operations. You will supervise portfolios, client reporting and coordination with internal teams to deliver timely, accurate results.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) and knowledge of real estate fund accounting; CPA is a plus. Base salary ranges from $115,000 to $135,000 plus incentive programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting preferred).
• Experience in real estate fund accounting and preparation of financial statements is preferred.
• Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA designation preferred).
• Ability to manage associates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word; Investran and MRI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and fiduciary oversight over firm's private investments in real estate.
• Review and maintain partnership waterfalls for JV and Fund level entities.
• Maintain the general ledger and various sub-ledgers, where applicable.
• Prepare and review trial balances.
• Perform the quarterly close process.
• Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables.
• Manage workflow for capital calls and distributions.
• Work closely with investment teams.
• Production of client reports (month/quarterly cycles).
• Produce account level financial performance metrics.
• Interact with senior management, portfolio management team and investment analysts.
• Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal groups.
• Ad hoc reports as needed.
