Job summary

Lincoln Financial is seeking a Senior Associate for the Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate Investments team in Charlotte or Greensboro. The role supports closing and servicing of a multi-billion portfolio, with 4 days in the office and a Friday remote option.

You will handle title/survey issues, loan documentation, and leases while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of commercial mortgage experience, strong real estate knowledge, and proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 4+ years in commercial mortgage loans or related field.
• 4 days in office per week, 40 hours minimum.
• Knowledge of real estate law, mortgage documents, title/insurance.
• Proficiency with MS Office; AI platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical, detail orientation and organization.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal/external stakeholders to close loans timely.
• Manage and communicate transaction timelines with partners.
• Identify legal and business risks in each mortgage loan investment.
• Perform pre/post-closing functions and review documents.
• Review loan docs, third-party due diligence, title, survey, insurance.
• Transmit loan information to servicing, asset management, accounting.
• Review settlement statements for accuracy.
• Update internal systems for reporting data.
• Inform management of potential problems and delays.
• Contribute to projects and team initiatives.
