Job summary

Lincoln Financial seeks a Director to join the Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate Investments team within Loan Production. The role focuses on originating and managing a billions-dollar CRE portfolio, guiding junior analysts, and leading cross-functional transactions in an in-office setting with some Friday work-from-home Flex.

You will lead origination efforts, review and underwrite CRE loans, and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to close deals efficiently.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent work experience (4 years in lieu of degree).
• 7+ years in commercial real estate finance/investment and analysis.
• Experience analyzing asset lending transactions.
• Knowledge of CRE principles and valuation methods.
• Knowledge of national CRE markets and macro trends.
• Ability to evaluate real estate financial statements.
• Knowledge of loan documents and real estate law.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Argus and Costar preferred.
• Advanced degrees/certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development through mortgage banking relationships within assigned territory.
• Review and underwrite new CRE loans; present analysis to Managing Directors and Head of Origination.
• Draft term sheets, letters of commitment, and related docs.
• Complete due diligence including leases, rent rolls, estoppels, and reports.
• Negotiate transaction documents with legal counsel.
• Draft investment committee memos and present for approval.
