You will advise executives, influence significant decisions, and guide complex transactions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires 8+ years in CRE transactions, ABA-credited JD, and state Bar membership, with a hybrid 3-days-office schedule and relocation assistance not offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience counseling on commercial real estate transactions (preferably at a top firm or financial institution).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret real estate law and transaction documentation.
• Ability to analyze diverse legal issues, synthesize information and communicate clearly to business professionals.
• Ability to present information effectively to investment professionals and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on review, negotiation, and documentation of complex commercial mortgage loan originations and servicing matters.
• Collaborate with business teams to assess and mitigate credit and operational risks in workouts, modifications, and foreclosures per standards.
• Deliver real estate legal expertise ensuring transactions align with organizational objectives and legal requirements.
• Support leasing activities for all business lines nationally with contract reviews and negotiations.
• Advise Mortgage and Real Estate Team; foster cross-enterprise collaboration and informed decision-making.
• Monitor regulatory developments under state insurance law and other investment frameworks; advise on implications for investment strategies.
• Direct outside counsel on complex matters to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
• Stay ahead of market trends in commercial mortgage lending and real estate; integrate innovative solutions.
• Champion organizational initiatives by leading change management and enterprise-wide projects.
• Drive process improvements to elevate quality and efficiency across teams.
