Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks a Senior Associate to support buy-side financial due diligence engagements, working closely with senior leadership and clients through the transaction process. You will execute QoE analyses, review historical results, earnings trends, cash flows, and key drivers, and assist with planning engagements while collecting and organizing large data sets.

Grow toward independently managing engagements as the practice expands, with some exposure to sell-side and investment

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within public accounting.
• Audit/assurance experience required; exposure to financial due diligence or transaction advisory is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
• Ability to analyze a company’s earnings, cash flows, and overall financial performance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Power Query or other data analytics tools is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred if coming from audit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact confidently with clients and company executives.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%

Responsibilities

• Execute financial due diligence and QoE analyses.
• Analyze historical financial results, earnings trends, cash flows, and key business drivers.
• Assist with planning and coordinating due diligence engagements.
• Collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of financial data.
• Participate in management and due diligence meetings.
• Communicate directly with clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Draft and deliver final due diligence reports.
• Develop toward independently managing engagements as the practice continues to grow.
• Gain exposure to sell-side and investment banking projects as part of the broader firm.
