Job summary

Clearway Energy Group seeks an Associate or Senior Associate to develop advanced BESS modeling and optimization across trading, origination, development, and asset management. You will build CWENQuant, deploy production models, and influence major commercial decisions using cutting-edge forecasting and data pipelines.

You will work with Python, ML/DL tools, and optimization frameworks to drive market insights, price modeling, and risk analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Senior Associate: 3+ years of quantitative or modeling experience in energy.
• Associate: <3 years in energy modeling.
• Programming skills: Python; experience with ML/DL models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy complex optimization models for BESS dispatch, renewables, gas generation, and data center projects across the US.
• Develop stochastic or ML/DL models to forecast prices based on load, gas prices, wind, and solar generation.
• Maintain gas dispatch, toll, HRCO, and other pricing models; perform MTM analysis; support due diligence and risk analytics.
• Benchmark models against operations to improve forecast accuracy and optimization.
• Enhance CWENQuant platform and data pipelines; build dashboards using data science techniques.
