Job summary

Fordham University seeks a Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services to develop and execute programs supporting student-athlete well-being and leadership. The role includes supervising multiple varsity sports, guiding coaching and program administration, and ensuring program success within budget constraints.

The position reports to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports, requires some travel and evening/weekend hours, and supports initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Administration, or related field.
• Experience in collegiate sports administration preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises administrative and competitive aspects of multiple varsity sports programs, including performance, recruitment, coaching development, budgeting, scheduling, and competitive results.
• Oversees TEAM Fordham life-skills program to support student-athlete well-being and life after Fordham.
• Manages funds for assigned sports and units within allocated budgets.
• Acts as liaison to the Dean of Students Office, Student Affairs, and Title IX Office on behalf of Athletics.
• Contributes to strategic direction for initiatives focused on student-athlete welfare, gender equity, and inclusion.
• Supports policy development and procedural improvements to achieve departmental goals.
• Assists in strategic planning for the University and department, and participates in Cabinet-level discussions.
• Ensures compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
