Job summary

Fordham University in New York seeks a Director of Student Services who will provide leadership and operational oversight of student services across all campuses. You will guide advisement, registration, and licensure support while aligning services with Jesuit educational goals.

Reporting to the Dean and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, you will develop policies, manage records under FERPA, supervise staff, and build partnerships with community organizations to enhance the student

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in higher education student services and academic administration.
• Technical proficiency with educational platforms and software applications.
• Working knowledge of CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards.
• Excellent analytic, organizational and time management capabilities.
• Leadership and initiative in effective problem resolution.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a complex environment.
• Strong diplomatic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independent and team-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations and supervise Student Services staff across campuses.
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs on course offerings and schedules.
• Develop and implement student support practices for planning, advisement, registration, orientation, and career services.
• Oversee academic progress interventions and student record reviews while maintaining FERPA compliance.
• Establish and maintain student policies and handbook guidelines to ensure compliance and quality.
• Lead student support services, including counseling referrals and conflict resolution.
• Design career services and programming through partnerships with community organizations.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and represent Student Services externally.
