Cboe Global Markets, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Counsel in Chicago to lead legal support for strategic transactions.

You will structure, negotiate, and execute acquisitions, investments and partnerships, coordinating with IP, employment, and regulatory teams while guiding governance and compliance in a highly regulated environment. The role requires broad legal experience, strong advisory skills to senior leadership, and a track record in financial services or regulated industries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience in large or mid-size firms or public companies.
• Experience structuring complex strategic transactions and negotiating with sophisticated counterparties.
• Knowledge of corporate and contract law, antitrust, IP, and governance basics.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal elements of acquisitions, dispositions, investments, JV and partnerships.
• Draft, negotiate and finalize strategic transaction documents and terms.
• Support governance processes and board materials for strategic matters.
• Coordinate input from IP, employment, securities regulatory and other teams.
• Advise Enterprise Strategy and Corporate Development on transactional issues.
• Ensure compliance and support new commercial initiatives as needed.
