Job summary

Cboe Global Markets, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join the Legal Department in Chicago, IL. This role provides legal and regulatory support to the U.S. options business, drafting rules and filings and collaborating with senior attorneys to drive compliant growth.

The successful candidate will draft regulatory submissions, advise cross-functionally, and help modernize processes with AI tools while ensuring adherence to national securities regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably at a law firm, financial services firm, or financial market regulator.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with experience in drafting regulatory filings preferable.
• Knowledge of the options industry and related regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior lawyers.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage a heavy workload.

Responsibilities

• Review and draft rules and rule filings for regulators.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice to the options business team.
• Steer rule changes through internal and external approval processes.
• Support other functions across Cboe (Compliance, Regulatory, Technology, Operations, Risk, Public Policy, Billing, Finance).
• Promote compliance standards and assist with regulatory matters.
