Job summary

Kimberly-Clark seeks a Senior Asset Leader for the New Milford, CT area to drive safety, quality and cost performance on a high-speed tissue asset. You will lead operations, reliability and engineering teams, and champion continuous improvement within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will partner with site resources to deliver platform results, manage budgets, and develop talent while advancing Lean practices and GMP standards across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or relevant discipline.
• The incumbent would typically have significant experience in Operations, Business, Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Maintenance.
• Possess a strong understanding of the operations role in the Supply Chain.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge in the people management and technical areas of expertise (or aptitude to learn).
• Demonstrated ability to organize, influence and lead a multi-functional team and foster a proactive team environment.
• Experience in multiple plant environments, product systems, and staff experience, along with leadership of a non-exempt workforce is highly desired.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in LEAN business practices. For example, can role model and teach 4 step simple problem solving, LSW, Visual Management, 5S.
• Ability to build and manage a budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with safety rules and codes.
• Maintain quality standards and improve quality metrics (e.g., RFT, cost of quality).
• Build strong relationships across Mill teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day direction to operations, reliability and engineering teams.
• Manage cost of manufacturing including materials, waste, labor and maintenance; forecast spending.
