Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking an Assembler II to join a manufacturing team focused on assembling parts per drawings and work instructions. The role may rotate across the facility to cover various assembly tasks, using a range of hand and power tools to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating tools, recording production activity, and supporting safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements while training teammates and upholding Lean principles in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Understand gluing and centering to specific tolerances which includes multiple areas/products required
• If applicable, ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment
• Basic proficiency with computers including an ERP system and Microsoft Office required

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to Work Instructions and Drawings and complete critical component assemblies
• Rotate through facility to perform various assembly tasks as needed
• Use hand, battery, electric and pneumatic tools to complete assemblies
• Operate circular saws, deburring tools for modified assemblies (Utility and Flow Only)
• Use laser engraver and etcher for modified assemblies to customer specs (Utility and Flow Only)
• Calibrate gas sensors for Testing (Analytical Technologies Only)
• Record day-to-day order activity in Production system and check instructions
• Identify inventory requirements and status in LX system and adjust as needed
• Train others in the department and participate in 5S/Lean initiatives
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace through 5S practices
