Job summary

John Galt Staffing is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing/Assembly Process Engineer to develop plans and work instructions for integrated sub-systems and manage assembly steps.

You will collaborate with system owners to optimize methods, tools, and safety measures for efficient production. Responsibilities include constructing comprehensive work instruction packets, ensuring proper access for tools and personnel, and coordinating with assembly engineers, tooling engineers, designers, and on-site staff

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of technical experience in integrating complex and large mechanical structures
• Experience creating work instruction packets
• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field
• Exceptional attention to detail and safety consciousness
• Ability to clearly express and critique ideas
• Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and work instructions for handling, manipulation, guidance, and integration of sub-system components
• Assist finalizing strategy for assembly steps and collaborate with system teams
• Ensure tool and personnel access for assembly steps as required
• Plan part movement with no interferences between systems
• Construct assembly work instruction packets for sub-assemblies and integrate into work orders
• Improve work instruction packets and work order creation for standardization and efficiency
• Collaborate with assembly engineers, tooling engineers, designers, and on-site personnel
