Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Greenville, OH is seeking a Senior Process Engineer (Assembly) to optimize the assembly value stream, focusing on KitchenAid Stand Mixer lines. You will lead automation projects, manage complex problem solving, and drive data-driven improvements to yield and zero-defect throughput.

The role requires strong data analytics, experience with vision systems, Poka-Yoke, EOL testers, and DFA collaboration with Design Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis (RCA) and PFMEA experience beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and standard work documents.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization across the assembly line and line balancing.
• Design for assembly reviews to simplify production and reduce cost.
• Troubleshooting to identify root causes of defects and downtime.
• Develop tooling and fixturing for the assembly line and automated cells.
• Lead cross-functional teams and support shift operation with technical guidance.
• Drive safety, cost, quality, and productivity improvements in manufacturing.
• Provide technical support across the shift and mentor team members.
• Lead World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives for OEE and cost savings.
• Coordinate with design and plant operations to close process capability gaps.
