Job summary

You will guide budgeting, vendor negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize performance and growth, while upholding regulatory standards and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in asphalt production, paving, or heavy civil construction.
• 5+ years in a senior management or multi-site leadership role (Area Manager or higher).
• Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, and P&L performance.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations and purchasing (e.g., asphalt oil).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for multiple asphalt plants, field crews, and dispatch operations.
• Oversee all departments within the asphalt division, ensuring coordination between production, dispatch, maintenance, and field operations.
• Develop and implement operational goals, objectives, and KPIs aligned with company strategy.
• Manage resources to maximize efficiency and monitor labor costs and productivity.
• Negotiate and manage asphalt oil purchases to support production and cost control.
• Ensure safety, production output, quality, and profitability meet targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain OSHA/AQMD/Caltrans/DOT compliance.
