Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced ASIC software engineer to develop APIs and SDKs in C/C++ for the Silicon One platform. You will extend verification, write Python/TCL scripts, and help drive emulation and ASIC bring-up in collaboration with design and software teams.

You will work with Spirent/IXIA traffic-generation tools and lab automation to validate feature behavior and performance, partnering with cross-functional teams to hit silicon milestones.

Qualifications

• Requires software design experience in C/C++ and driver/SDK development for ASICs.
• Experience scripting in Python or TCL and working with emulation environments.
• Background in ASIC bring-up, verification, and lab automation with traffic-generation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ASIC APIs and SDKs in C and C++, enabling emulation, bring-up, and feature work.
• Write Python and TCL scripts to exercise ASIC features and measure performance in emulation.
• Verify ASIC functionality and performance via structured emulation tests and debug with design/software partners.
• Support silicon validation using lab tools and scripts to confirm feature behavior.
• Collaborate across design, software, and validation teams to align emulation environments and milestones.
