Job summary

imec USA in San Jose, CA is seeking an ASIC Production Engineer to support existing ASIC products through production, addressing challenges from problem identification to resolution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to improve yield, test performance, quality, and reliability across the production lifecycle.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, structured problem-solving, and communication of findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in ASIC production, test, and assembly engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog electronics; experience with Six Sigma and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Support existing ASIC products in production and lead resolution of production challenges.
• Investigate yield/test issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement solutions to improve sustainability and manufacturing performance.
• Develop and validate changes to semiconductor processes, suppliers, test methods, and acceptance criteria.
