Job summary

Motorola Solutions, including its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Business Development Engineer focused on US Army programs. The role supports translating Army requirements into technically sound, field-ready solutions, with travel up to 50%.

The position collaborates with Engineering and Business Development teams to engage acquisition stakeholders, design demonstrations, and provide strategic roadmaps aligned with Army priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 5+ years of experience; or HS diploma with 9+ years.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with SDRs, IP-based tactical routing, and tactical communications systems.
• Proficiency with RF instruments and spectrum analyzers.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites and DoD environments.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Army Capability Set requirements and map gaps to our tactical radio capabilities.
• Conduct market research to identify end-to-end product solutions and partner synergies.
• Design demonstrations tailored to the Army and field-test architectures.
• Lead technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials with BD and Applications Engineering teams.
• Translate Army feedback into actionable product roadmaps and track progress.
