Job summary

Motorola Solutions, with Silvus Technologies as a subsidiary, seeks a Senior Business Development Engineer to translate Army requirements into actionable, field-ready solutions. You will collaborate with Engineering and BD teams to design demonstrations and align product roadmaps with Army needs.

Travel up to 50% and occasional remote work depending on location. Requires 5+ years in SDRs, IP routing, and tactical radio systems, plus an active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based tactical routing protocols, and tactical communication systems.
Strong knowledge of US Army tactical procurement pathways and Army Futures Command priorities.
Proficiency with RF instruments (signal generators, spectrum analyzers).
Willingness to travel frequently (50%) to customer sites and DoD environments.
Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Analyze US Army Capability Set requirements and Mission Command network design goals to map operational gaps to our tactical radio capabilities.
Conduct market research to identify end-to-end product solutions and synergies with emerging industry partners; collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to test and evaluate architectures.
Design and build demonstrations tailored to the Army, highlighting future tactical edge network possibilities.
Lead technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air execution of field trials and evaluations with BD and Applications Engineering teams.
Collaborate to leverage large-scale testing and competitive benchmarking data to ensure architectures are sound.
Engage Army program managers, S&T leads, and warfare centers to translate advanced technology capabilities into program requirements.
Translate Army feedback into actionable product roadmaps and track progress to meet operational needs.
