Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a senior leader to own the Area market access marketing strategy, directing resource development and ensuring area performance goals are met.

You will coach the Area Marketers, collaborate with payer strategy, BUs and cross-functional teams to tailor plans for local stakeholders, including employers, health systems and PBMs, while leveraging analytics to drive data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years to develop and execute marketing strategies in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
• Proven management experience leading teams or managing direct reports in a complex, matrixed environment.
• 7+ years marketing management experience, preferably supporting C-suite account management.
• 3+ years account management experience.
• 3+ years market access experience.
• 12+ years total healthcare industry experience.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to adapt broader brand payer or BU strategies locally.
• Experience developing local, data-driven strategies based on pharmaceutical market access frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Area market access marketing strategy and resource development.
• Manage Area Access Associate Marketing team with coaching and performance management.
• Collaborate with Area Access Leads, Payer Strategy, Brand BUs and Strategic Channel teams to tailor plans.
• Act as regional expert on customer types, market trends, and payer landscapes.
• Oversee regional analytics from MABI and others to shape data-driven decisions.
• Identify best practices and propose process or strategic improvements.
• Drive area-level marketing execution and materials for ADs and Executives.
• Maintain understanding of multiple brands and diverse customer types.
• Continuously optimize strategies in response to evolving market landscapes.
