Job summary

Jacobs in Clayton, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site scheduling and planning for life science facilities. You'll ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are ready, while safeguarding the safety, health, and well-being of your team and the environment.

You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage project controls and procurement, coordinate with subcontractors and clients, and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of construction site experience.
• 12+ years as foreman/superintendent/CM.
• Strong safety culture and "Safety First" mindset.
• Experience managing multi-discipline, large-scale projects in Life Science industry.
• Experience with schedule management and Last Planner systems.
• Coordination across multi-disciplines and subcontractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scheduling and planning at the project site.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and people are on site.
• Maintain safety, health, and wellbeing of the team and environment.
• Leverage people-management skills to develop team members.
• Coordinate with internal and client personnel on schedules and sequencing.
