Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Architectural SME for data centers to lead architectural delivery across nationwide programs. You will shape design strategy, coordinate MEP, security, and operations, and drive innovation in modularization and envelope systems.

You will mentor staff, engage with hyperscale and colocation clients, and ensure code compliance and quality across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in architectural design; 15+ years in mission-critical/data center environments.
• Licensed Architect (RA) with knowledge of building codes, ADA, and sustainability frameworks.
• Strong expertise in site planning, envelope design, modular construction, and BIM coordination.
• Proven record of technical innovation solving client’s challenges.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across U.S. data center programs.
• Shape upfront planning strategies with hyperscale clients.
• Lead site and building design; drive innovation in modularization and systems.
• Ensure code compliance and cross-discipline coordination.
• Mentor architects and contribute to thought leadership.
• Support design reviews, QA, and construction administration.
