Jacobs is seeking a Senior Architectural SME for Data Centers to lead design across hyperscale facilities, addressing modular envelopes, sustainability, and integrated building systems.

You will guide multi‑disciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and drive technical differentiation on mission‑critical projects for AI‑ready data center environments, with nationwide opportunities and hybrid work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 20+ years of experience in architectural design, with 15+ years in mission‑critical/data center environments.
• Licensed Architect (RA) with strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, and sustainability frameworks.
• Proven expertise in site planning, envelope design, modular construction, and BIM coordination.
• Proven record of technical innovation solving client's challenges.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and multi‑tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across multiple data center programs.
• Guide design quality and consistency while advancing Jacobs’ architectural standards.
• Shape upfront planning strategies with hyperscale clients and drive innovation in modularization and building systems.
• Represent Jacobs’ design expertise in client engagements and industry forums.
• Mentor architects across the data center practice and contribute to thought leadership.
• Support design reviews, QA, and construction administration across concurrent projects.
