Job summary

Larson Design Group seeks a Senior Architectural Associate to advance architectural projects from design through construction documents and code compliance. You will lead complex deliverables, integrate QA/QC practices, and collaborate with teams to ensure client objectives are met.

The role focuses on technical excellence, project planning, and mentoring junior staff, while supporting licensure progress and professional growth within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture (5-year) or Master of Architecture (6-year) from a NAAB-accredited institution is required.
• Minimum three (3) years’ job related experience.
• Active in the AXP program and in the process of taking the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews design computations, drawings, and plans to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with objectives.
• Manages and coordinates project submissions and submittals, maintaining timelines.
• Develops and reviews detailed specifications, reports, and correspondence for clarity.
• Conducts field inspections to verify design intent and compliance with codes and permitting.
• Applies knowledge of building codes and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promotes QA/QC processes to improve deliverable quality and reduce errors.
• Monitors project budgets and schedules, ensuring resource efficiency.
• Mentors and supports Architectural Associates and interns to foster growth.
