Job summary

Highrise is seeking a high-level Senior Architect to lead projects from design through construction in a hybrid role in SoHo, NY. The position requires running design teams, coordinating with owners, expeditors, and consultants while ensuring compliance with NYC Building Codes, Zoning, Energy, and ADA.

The candidate should have strong Construction Administration experience, be able to manage projects from concept through CO, and work across design, CA, and DOB filings.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect preferred (NY license a strong plus).
• Experience in Construction Administration for NYC projects.
• Deep working knowledge of NYC Code, Zoning, Energy, and ADA.
• Able to independently manage projects from concept through CO.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and documentation for new buildings and major alterations.
• Manage Construction Administration (CA), including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field conditions.
• Site visits and coordination with GC, consultants, and ownership; issue resolution during construction.
• Ensure compliance with NYC Zoning, Building Code, Energy Code, and ADA; coordinate DOB filings.
