Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Architect Development Team Lead to support solution architecture and development needs for a government customer. The role is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and will be hybrid, primarily remote with intermittent onsite activity.

The successful candidate will manage an architecture team, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive end-to-end design across multiple systems using tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s with 15+ years on large-scale application design and development
• Expert proficiency programming in Natural using ADABAS
• Experienced with NaturalONE Eclipse development environment
• 5+ years of project management experience
• 5+ years defining customer requirements
• Strong ability to design solutions across multiple systems
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical architects and developers
• Assess existing background investigation systems and processes
• Coordinate with customers to gather requirements
• Design scalable, efficient solution architectures
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations
• Collaborate with dev teams to implement solutions
• Review implementations to ensure effectiveness
• Provide federal contracts and grants management expertise
• Track requirements with Jira and Confluence
• Design end-to-end solutions meeting customer needs
• Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams
• Develop software with Natural/ADABAS
• Manage data transfers with Connect Direct
• Maintain JCL for batch processing
• Maintain IBM MQ queues and flows
• Anticipate needs and propose solutions
