Job summary

BL Companies seeks a Senior Architect in Connecticut to lead technical design and production from concept through construction. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver buildable designs that meet client specs and maintain design integrity.

A strong architectural production background and RA license are highly valued. You will mentor junior staff, guide documentation, and uphold quality across multiple projects in a collaborative, employee-owned firm with strong ethics and client

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in architectural production for commercial, retail, or industrial projects.
• Professional registration (RA) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and experience with construction documentation.
• Experience with construction administration is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Proactive mindset with ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design and production process from concept through construction.
• Coordinate and oversee project teams to deliver design solutions that meet client specifications, with a strong emphasis on detailing and constructability.
• Serve as the technical authority and primary resource for project teams and clients.
• Ensure quality assurance and control of construction documents, focusing on detail accuracy and buildability.
• Mentor and support the growth of junior staff through hands-on guidance and technical training.
• Contribute to a collaborative project environment and uphold BL Companies' values of accountability, proactivity, and integrity.
