Job summary

BL Companies is seeking a Senior Architect in Massachusetts to lead design and production from concept through construction, mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects. The role requires 15+ years in architectural production, Revit proficiency, and strong communication.

Hybrid work is available, with a salary range of $110,000 to $130,000, based on experience, skills, and fit.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of architectural production experience for commercial, retail, or industrial projects.
• Professional RA registration strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and construction documentation required.
• Experience with construction administration is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design and production process from concept through construction.
• Coordinate and oversee project teams to deliver design solutions that meet client specifications, with emphasis on detailing and constructability.
• Serve as the technical authority and primary resource for project teams and clients.
• Ensure quality assurance and control of construction documents, focusing on detail accuracy and buildability.
• Mentor and support the growth of junior staff through hands-on guidance and technical training.

This role requires strong project management, attention to detail, and the ability to guide project teams through all technical phases of design and documentation. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, collaborative mindset and a commitment to mentoring junior staff. The Senior Architect will work in close partnership with Senior Project Managers and other disciplines to deliver exceptional architectural services for our clients. This individual will take a leadership role in managing the technical aspects of design and documentation across multiple projects.
