Job summary

BL Companies is seeking a Senior Architect in Wilmington, NC to lead design and production from concept through construction, while mentoring junior staff in a collaborative, accountable environment.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of architectural production experience in commercial, retail, or industrial projects, is proficient in Revit, and demonstrates strong communication and leadership; RA registration is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of architectural production experience in commercial, retail, or industrial projects.
• Professional RA registration preferred.
• Proficient in Revit and construction documentation.
• Experience with construction administration is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design and production process from concept through construction.
• Coordinate and oversee project teams to deliver design solutions meeting client specifications with emphasis on detailing and constructability.
• Serve as the technical authority and primary resource for project teams and clients.
• Ensure QA/QC of construction documents focusing on detail accuracy and buildability.
• Mentor and support the growth of junior staff through hands-on guidance and technical training.
• Contribute to a collaborative project environment upholding BL Companies' values of accountability, proactivity, and integrity.
