Job summary

Gensler in Houston, TX, is seeking a seasoned Architect to lead a team from concept through build. You will drive high-profile design projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure design intent and technical quality across drawings, specs, and construction administration.

The role requires a Registered Architect with 10+ years of experience, strong Revit and visualization skills, and excellent communication. In-person work in Houston with a comprehensive benefits package and collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect with license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of related experience; senior living and residential projects preferred.
• Proficient in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and structures.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle through post-occupancy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Located in Houston, Texas area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of architects and designers from concept through build.
• Direct production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks.
• Maintain project documents with design intent and technical quality.
• Mentor team members and oversee consultant coordination.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and permitting officials.
• Oversee the project manual and specifications.
• Ensure contracts are adhered to and project financials are managed.
• Drive successful delivery of projects and client relationships.
