Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Architect to design and maintain highly reliable systems for Akamai's Connected Cloud, with a focus on automation, scalability, and security across our 300k+ servers worldwide.

You will work with product management and engineering to align solutions with strategy, present architectural designs to cross-functional teams, and drive standards for development, testing, and quality assurance in Unix/Linux environments.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Distributed system architecture design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
• Experience in software development lifecycle including Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with product management and engineering teams to describe and design solutions aligned with Akamai's strategy and roadmap.
• Presenting and supporting architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams
• Defining and implementing standards for systems design, development, comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices
• Designing reliable, high-quality, usable software that meets the needs of our business for robust, scalable, and highly available systems
• Conducting research on emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation
