Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Archaeologist to lead cultural resources projects from a US office, providing technical leadership and client service across the country. The role emphasizes mentorship, project oversight, and growth of the cultural resources practice.

Responsibilities include QA/QC of technical reports, field investigations, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable solutions for energy and infrastructure clients.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years of related paid experience.
• RPA (Registered Professional Archaeologist) as per SOI qualifications.
• Demonstrated field experience with principal-level oversight on inventories, surveys, testing, and data recovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead heritage projects across the United States with principal-level oversight.
• Provide QA/QC of deliverables prepared by archaeologists.
• Oversee desktop studies, reconnaissance surveys, testing, excavations, and monitoring.
• Mentor archaeologists and support hiring, training, and growth.
