Job summary

Chronicle Heritage is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to serve as a Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ, with partial remote work. You will lead field and desktop studies, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with CRM regulations and deliverables for diverse federal, state, and municipal projects.

The role requires an advanced degree in archaeology/anthropology, 7+ years of reporting experience, and 2+ years as PM or PI on survey projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field.
• 7+ years of experience preparing technical reports and data recovery surveys.
• 5+ years managing survey, testing, and data recovery projects in environmental/cultural consulting.
• 2+ years as Project Manager or PI on survey projects.
• Licensed/eligible to be PI/PD on an Arizona Antiquities Act permit.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical studies and ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
• Oversee field and desktop research and impact analysis teams.
• Provide technical and inter-disciplinary oversight; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train, mentor staff and engage in professional development; interface with clients.
