Chronicle Heritage seeks a Senior Archaeologist to serve as Project Manager based in Reno, with the option for remote work.

The role involves leading technical studies, coordinating field and desktop research, overseeing deliverables, and ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local laws. You will mentor staff, interface with clients, and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field is required.
• 5+ years managing survey, testing, and data recovery projects in CRM/environmental settings.
• 2+ years as Project Manager or PI on CRM projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical studies and deliver high-quality, on-time deliverables.
• Oversee field and desktop research and impact analyses.
• Provide technical and interdisciplinary oversight and quality control of deliverables.
• Train and mentor staff and engage in professional development.
• Interface with clients and external stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations affecting CRM and industry trends.
• Oversee field investigations to assess resources at proposed sites.
• Direct data collection, analysis, and interpretation; formulate recommendations.
• Develop and maintain business relationships and pursue new leads and contracts.
