Job summary

ERM seeks a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead cultural resource strategy and delivery across the Great Basin. This senior role focuses on technical leadership, project oversight, and business development to expand ERM’s archaeology practice in the United States.

You will oversee desktop and field investigations, coordinate with senior leaders, and manage complex projects with QA/QC rigor while mentoring archaeologists at multiple levels.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
• 6–8 years of paid archaeology experience.
• RPA credential listed as Secretary of the Interior-qualified archaeologist.
• Experience leading projects and providing QA/QC on cultural resources deliverables.
• Experience with agency reporting (NEPA, CRTP, and other regulatory docs).
• Willingness to travel and interact with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic cultural resource leadership across Great Basin projects.
• Lead project execution and technical reviews, ensuring scope, budget and schedule adherence.
• Mentor and develop archaeologists and multidisciplinary team members.
• Support business development and client growth through technical excellence.
