ERM seeks a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead complex cultural resource projects across the United States. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and help expand ERM’s presence in the cultural resources market while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role combines technical leadership, project management, business development, and client engagement, with opportunities to shape the practice across ERM’s national network.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology or Archaeology plus 8+ years of related paid experience.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits.
• Experience as primary author on agency‑reviewed technical reports.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation of work.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and municipal regulatory processes.

Responsabilités

• Oversee literature reviews, field reconnaissance, surveys, and excavations for archaeological studies.
• Provide technical consulting to grow ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage business.
• Interact with ERM practice areas to share resources nationwide.
• Represent ERM with state, federal, and local agencies; communicate with clients regularly.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality.
