Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead cultural resource strategy and delivery across the Great Basin from Idaho. This senior role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and team mentorship to grow ERM’s archaeology practice.

You will oversee fieldwork, regulatory compliance, and multi-state projects, with emphasis on quality, scope, and schedule while mentoring staff and expanding business opportunities across the United States.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field.
• 6–8 years of paid archaeology experience.
• Secretary of the Interior-qualified archaeologist listed as an RPA.
• Experience authoring and reviewing agency reports and NEPA docs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic cultural resource leadership across Great Basin projects.
• Lead permitting capabilities and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Oversee project execution and technical review.
• Mentor and develop cultural resources staff.
• Support business development and client growth initiatives.
• Drive collaboration across ERM’s multidisciplinary services.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Represent ERM as a technical expert and principal investigator.
