Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Senior Operations Analyst - Accounts Payable to provide administrative oversight of AP functions in the Finance Tower. You will train less experienced staff, verify invoice processing, and ensure timely, accurate entry and issue resolution for vendor payments.

Located at 333 W. 34th Street, NYC, this role operates 9:00 am–5:30 pm on weekdays within the Operations Processing division.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable processing and reconciliation.
• Ability to mentor and support team members.
• Proficient with PeopleSoft or similar databases.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize problems and escalate when needed.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Gather forms, validate and track status; input data.
• Enter transactions in PeopleSoft and service request tools.
• Review scanned documents; monitor invoice activity and correct errors.
• Ensure proper coding, approvals, and timeliness of invoices.
• Research and resolve overpayments or duplicate payments.
• Provide customer service and resolve inquiries.
• Assist in RTV analysis and cross-team documentation.
• Complete assignments per manager guidance and SLA targets.
