Groundswell is seeking an engineer to turn ambiguous business problems into AI-enabled solutions. This client-facing, hands-on role spans discovery, design, development, and production operation across the full lifecycle.

You will work with stakeholders to assess whether AI adds value, define success criteria, and deliver end-to-end capabilities with strong governance and measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of production software experience, hands-on LLM/AI pattern

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and shipping production software.
• 2+ years hands-on AI/LLM integration experience.
• Strong Python/TypeScript/SQL skills and API integration.
• Proven ability to translate stakeholder needs into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing discovery to understand workflows and success criteria.
• Define measurable success criteria with accuracy targets and acceptance conditions.
• Recommend non-AI solutions when appropriate; optimize for cost and reliability.
• Choose AI patterns (extraction, classification, summarization, retrieval, agent) appropriately.
• Architect where workloads run with attention to quality, latency, and security.
• Build end-to-end capability including prompts, retrieval, APIs, and UI.
