Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 6+ years of experience in applications engineering is preferred.
• Design experience and development of programmed applications.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review problems and needs with customers and end users.
• Develop control system concepts.
• Create layouts in AutoCAD.
• Create RFQs for subcontractors, including electrical installers and panel shops.
• Assist the estimating and sales department with process improvements.
• Participate in project handoffs from Sales to Operations as needed.
• Make customer visits as needed.
• Build control system solutions for the material handling industry.
• Assist with creation and delivery of final project proposals.
• Propose competitive solutions to customers.
