Job summary

Jobtailor in Nashville is seeking an experienced engineer to design and implement control system solutions for the material handling industry. You will review customer needs, develop control concepts, create AutoCAD layouts, and prepare RFQs for subcontractors while supporting sales and estimating with process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 6+ years of experience in applications engineering is preferred.
• Design experience and development of programmed applications.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• At least six years of relevant experience, preferably in applications engineering
• Design experience and development of programmed applications
• Knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with computer-assisted design (CAD) software
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
